I am one of our registered veterinary night nurses. After returning from New Zealand in 2011, I worked for professional showjumpers before moving into veterinary practice as a nursing auxiliary in December 2011. I was lucky to receive the opportunity to start my apprenticeship early in 2012 and had to make the move down to Oxford to begin working in sole small animal practice, finishing my apprenticeship at a large multidisciplinary referral centre in Northumberland and achieving my qualification and registration in February 2015. I have a strong interest in emergency and critical care, radiography and orthopaedics.
Outside of work, I am never away from the stables and have two horses, an Irish Draught called Rorry and an Irish sports horse called Flynn. I regularly compete in eventing and I am a member of Newcastle riding club. I have two Border terriers called Beatrice and Wilf.
